CBT is based on the concept that are thoughts, feelings, physical sensa-tions and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feel-ings can trap us in a vicious cycle. CBT aims to help us deal with over-whelming problems in a more positive way by breaking them down into smaller parts. This approach helps us to learn how to identify and change destructive or disturbing thought patterns that have a negative influence on our behaviour and emotions.
